LOCATION

 

We are located on farm Hofsnes in the county Öræfi in the heart of Vatnajökull region, 350 km east from Reykjavík. We do not have an office per se, our bookings are done through email or direct booking from the web site. There is somebody from us checking in customers at our Ingólfshöfði Check in Hut 30-40 minutes before each departure, but in between there is nobody there.

Note, in less busy time of year Einar is carrying the office phone while guiding the trips, and in some cases he can be off the grid for few hours depending on where the tour is taken. So do not hesitate to send a text message or email in case of not reaching us through phone call.

MEETING POINT FOR INGÓLFSHÖFÐI TOURS IN SUMMER:

Ingólfshöfði Check In Hut is just south of Ingólfshöfði parking lot 2 km south of the main road 1/2 hour drive east of Skaftafell and 1/2 hour drive west of Jökulsárlón ice lagoon. The road is between farms Hofsnes and Fagurhólsmýri and is marked "Ingólfshöfði 2 km". There is also a big sign at the start of the road, with a picture of a puffin, and text sayin Puffin Tour.
